COBB, Calif. – On April 13, students from Mendocino College in Lakeport joined Habitat for Humanity Lake County for a State Farm Build event on their Cobb Mountain work site.
Eight students worked to help build Habitat’s first Valley fire home.
Volunteers assisted in putting up siding and floor joists. Staff and volunteers alike were excited to see progress being made on a fire survivor’s home.
The day’s efforts were supported by a generous donation from State Farm Insurance in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity International
If you or your group would like to assist in a Habitat for Humanity Build, please contact 707-994-1100, Extension 103 to discuss how you can help.
The more volunteers there are, the sooner fire survivors and other families can move “home.”
