LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Between April 30 and May 4, a group of 23 volunteers from Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church in Lafayette joined Habitat for Humanity Lake County to participate in three builds, one on Cobb and two in Clearlake.
With more than 800 contributed hours, significant progress was made on all three homes, bringing each of them closer to completion.
The Lafayette-Orinda group has traveled the county for several years, participating in disaster recovery in many locations including the Hurricane Katrina recovery in 2005.
They contacted Habitat for Humanity after Lake County’s recent wildfires and arrangements were made for their help.
Habitat for Humanity Lake County and the families the group has assisted are very grateful for the time spent volunteering, and look forward to future partnerships with them.
If you and your organization are interested in participating in a Habitat build project, please contact Habitat for Humanity Lake County at 707-994-1100, Extension 103 to discuss dates, times and how you can help. All groups are welcome.
