Caltrans plans major roadwork through July 12

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at 11th Street to 12th Street to begin on Wednesday, July 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.

– Shoulder work near Foothill Drive will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 29

– Roadwork from Spruce Road to Spruce Lane will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Emergency work near Soldier Point Viaduct on Tuesday, July 10 will require a full closure of Route 1 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should make alternate plans.

– Emergency work near Soldier Point Viaduct will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours day. Motorists should minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 101

– Striping work from Henry Station Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will occur Thursday, July 5, and Friday, July 6. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Striping work from Robinson Creek to Ridgewood Ranch Road will occur Thursday, July 5, and Friday, July 6. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Striping work from Route 253 to Forsythe Creek Bridge will occur on Friday, July 6. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work south of Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect in both directions. Motorist should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– City of Willits has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Monica Lane to Main Street to begin on Tuesday, July 10. Lane closures will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping work from Steele & Davidson Lane to Empire Camp Rest Area will occur on Friday, July 13. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Striping work from Rattlesnake Creek to Bell Glen Resort will occur on Monday, July 9. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Construction at Jitney Gulch Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping work from Standish Hickey to Benbow Drive will occur Tuesday, July 10. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work at Bell Glenn Resort to the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Geotechnical work from Route 271 to Lowell Allen Memorial Bridge will begin Monday, July 9. Lane closure will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Geotechnical work from Bloody Run Creek Bridge to Road 8152 will begin Monday, July 9. Lane closure will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 128

– Emergency work from Hibbard Road to Big Oaks Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 162

– Drainage work from Outlet Creek Bridge to Corral Creek Bridge to Short Creek will begin on Monday, July 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorist should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Wall work at The Middle Way will continue. One-way traffic control with temporary stop signs will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Poonkiny to Fairbanks will occur in on Thursday, July 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorist should anticipate 10- minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency work east of the entrance to Motorcycle Park will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Pavement work and drilling from the Route 128 junction in Booneville to the Highway 101 junction will begin on July 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
