Clearlake city parks close as temporary evacuation sites

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – As of 11 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, Clearlake city parks stopped acting as temporary evacuation sites.

The parks are now transitioning back to their primary recreational use for residents and visitors.

During this time city officials ask for the public’s voluntary cooperation in removing any trash, debris, structures, as well as any other personal property.

Those who are unable to return home are urged to go to Twin Pine Casino, 22223 Highway 29, Middletown.
