LOWER LAKE, Calif. – County officials reported that replacement benefits are available for CalFresh recipients who lost food as a result of the Mendocino Complex.
Thirty percent of July 2018 benefits issued on or before July 23, 2018 will be automatically replaced for CalFresh recipients who lived in zip codes 95458, 95464, 95485 or 95493 on July 1, 2018.
Benefits should be on qualified recipients’ cards Tuesday morning.
CalFresh recipients not included in the automatic replacement, who experienced food loss due to the Mendocino Complex fires, have until Aug. 27 to contact Lake County Social Services to request replacement on a case-by-case basis.
