Caltrans plans major roadwork through Sept. 13

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Pavement work from Long Valley Road to North Fork of Cache Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Pavement work from Abbot Mine Road to Colusa County Line will begin on Sunday, Sept. 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Fire Damage repair work near Mathews Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Lake County Sanitation has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for sewer work from Socrates Mine Road to Dry Creek Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Gibney Lane on Wednesday, Sept. 12, and Thursday, Sept. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Drilling work from Pacific Avenue South to Blue Side Gulch will occur on Tuesday, Sept. 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Pavement work from Mill Bank Resort to South Fork Eel River Bridge will end on Friday, Sept. 7. One-way traffic control will be in 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Stripping work from Access Road to Road 260 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Fire Damage repair work at Road 260 to Old Lake County Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Cold Creek Bridge to Private Road on Friday, Sept. 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should five-minute delays.

– Stripping work from Private Road to Le Trianon Resort will begin Sunday, Sept. 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 101

– Stripping work from Russian River Bridge to Williford Road Undercrossing will end Saturday, Sept. 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Stripping work from Robinson Creek to Parducci Road Overcrossing will end Saturday, Sept. 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Paving work at Route 222 northbound onramp will require a full closure on Sunday, Sept. 9, from 6 a.m. to noon. Motorists should make alternate plans.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect 24 hours a day. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Construction at Jitney Gulch Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work at the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Piercy will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 128

– Emergency work from Big Oak Drive to Hibbard Road will begin Monday, Sept. 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 162

– Wall work at The Middle Way will continue. One-way traffic control with temporary stop signs will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency work east of the entrance to Motorcycle Park will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 222

– Utility work at Hastings Frontage Road will end Friday, Sept. 7. Lane closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 253

– Pavement work from the Route 128 junction in Booneville to the Highway 101 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
