SACRAMENTO – Federal Emergency Management Agency mitigation specialists will be on hand in various locations to answer questions and offer home improvement and landscaping tips, along with proven methods of protecting homes from all hazards.

Recovery topics covered include information on rebuilding after a wildfire, and protecting against possible floods and mudflows, due to the changes to the landscape caused by fire.

FEMA advisors will be at the following stores on dates indicated:

– Star Gardens, 21288 Washington St., Middletown; Friday, Sept. 28 through Sunday, Sept. 30, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

– Kelseyville Lumber, 3555 N. Main St., Kelseyville; Monday, Oct. 1, through Friday, Oct. 7, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
