Caltrans plans major roadwork through Oct. 11

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Fire damage repair work from Blue Lakes Road to Witter Springs Road will begin on Monday, Oct. 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Pavement work from Long Valley Road to North Fork of Cache Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours a day weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Pavement work from Walker Ridge Road to Colusa County Line will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 24 hours a day weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Construction work from Spruce Road to Spruce Lane-Hidden Valley will occur Tuesday, Oct. 4, and Wednesday, Oct. 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Fire Damage repair work near Mathews Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Lake County Sanitation has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for sewer work from Socrates Mine Road to Dry Creek Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Sunset Drive to Road 8068 to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG & E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Old Stageroad Drive on Thursday, Oct. 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Geotechnical work from Spring Grove Road to Albion will begin on Monday, Oct. 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– AT & T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Jug Handle Creek to Gibney Lane to begin on Monday, Oct. 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Storm damage repair work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Pavement work from Mill Bank Resort to South Fork Eel River Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Electrical work at East Broaddus will occur on Tuesday, Oct. 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Electrical work from Access Road to Road 260 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Fire Damage repair work at Road 260 to Witter Springs Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Fire Damage repair work at Private Road to Blue Lakes Road will begin on Sunday, Oct. 7. One-way traffic control will be in 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work from Comminsky Station Road to Pieta Creek Bridge will start on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Lane closures will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect 24 hours a day. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Pavement work from Willits Creek Bridge to Bechtel Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 9 a.m. to midnight weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Guardrail work at Bell Glen Resort will continue. Lane closures will be in 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slow-downs.

– Emergency work at the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Piercy will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 128

– Emergency work from Big Oak Drive to Hibbard Road will start on Wednesday, Oct. 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 162

– Wall work at The Middle Way will continue. One-way traffic control with temporary stop signs will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Pavement work from the Route 128 junction in Booneville to the Highway 101 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
