HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – Sons of Norway announced the election of Mary Beth Ingvoldstad of Hidden Valley Lake to the position of District 6 director.
The board election took place at Sons of Norway’s 2018 International Convention held last month in Bloomington, Minn.
Ingvoldstad’s term begins immediately.
District 6 includes California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Hawaii.
As District 6 director, Ingvoldstad will attend all international lodge meetings and work with other board members in shaping the goals of the organization.
As a long-term member at the local, district and international lodge levels, Ingvoldstad brings extensive fraternal experience to her directorship.
She has served as president at four Sons of Norway lodges and most recently was District 6 president, 2014-2018.
Ingvoldstad has also served on the International Reports, International Resolutions and International Governance committees.
She has lent her expertise in many other capacities including District Presidents’ Council Scribe, district and international lodge musician, District 6 convention chair and as an advocate for the American Fraternal Alliance.
Ingvoldstad holds Bachelor of Science degrees in education/music minor and psychology, and a Master’s of Science degree in special education.
She is a member of the American Association of University Women and Kappa Alpha Pi Honor Society and has served on the boards of the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation and the
Lompoc Rape Crisis Center.
