Absentee ballots to be mailed this week

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Lake County Registrar of Voters Office is notifying voters who have requested to be a permanent vote-by-mail voter as well as voters who reside within a mail ballot precinct, that the official vote-by-mail (absentee) ballots are scheduled to be delivered to the San Francisco Sorting Center by our Official Ballot Printing Vendor on Friday, Oct. 12.

Voters should begin receiving their vote-by-mail ballots in the mail by Saturday, Oct. 20.

However, if you need your vote-by-mail ballot sooner than the estimated delivery date, you may visit the Registrar of Voters’ office, Courthouse, second floor, Room 209, Lakeport and a vote-by-mail ballot will be issued to you; or, you may phone the office and staff will mail you a vote-by-mail ballot.

Also, any registered voter who would like to be issued an official vote-by-mail ballot in lieu of voting at his/her polling place, may either personally phone the Registrar of Voter’s Office at 707-263-2372 no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, to request a vote-by-mail ballot by mail or appear in person at the Registrar of Voters Office prior to the close of the polls at 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 6, to be issued a vote-by-mail ballot.
