LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Caltrans reported that a full closure of Highway 175 over the Hopland Grade necessitated by a semi wreck that occurred last week will continue on Thursday, Oct. 18.

The closure will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from 5.6 miles east of US Highway 101 to Mathews Road in Lake County.

Caltrans said the full closure of Highway 175 this week has been needed for recovery of an over length semi-truck that went over the embankment Oct. 11.

Recovery of the truck’s load of plywood began on Wednesday and is continuing Thursday, Caltrans said.
