Lake County Progressives announce 2019 meeting schedule

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – In 2019, Lake County Progressives will meet on the third Tuesdays of the month in Lakeport at Round Table Pizza's meeting room.

All meetings are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The first meeting of 2019 will be on Jan. 15.

Round Table Pizza is located at 821 11th St.

Lake County Progressives is the official chapter representing Our Revolution in Lake County.

The group is nonpartisan and welcomes anyone interested in learning how to move America in a better direction – to once again be a nation whose government is of the people, by the people, and for the people. They explore local solutions as well as national ones.

Among the topics they are currently exploring is Gayle MacLaughlin's new organization, the California Progressive Alliance. Another is how to bring Ranked Choice Voting to Lake County.

Always, their agenda includes being aware of what elected representatives are doing and holding them accountable.

Bernie Sanders' greatest gift to us is each other. He awakened a new spirit of civic involvement, and inspired many hundreds of people to run for office for the first time in 2018. Ordinary people, running grassroots campaigns without corporate or Big Donor money. Hundreds of them won, at the city, county, state and federal level.
