WILLITS, Calif. – If you have ever dreamed of downsizing and embracing a minimalistic lifestyle, Sherwood Valley Casino in Willits could make your dreams come true this December and January.

Earn entries up until Saturday, Jan. 26. The casino will be giving away a “tiny cabin” valued at $7,000 and a “tiny home” valued at $35,000 to two lucky winners as well as thousands of dollars in other prizes in their “$50,000 Tiny Home Treasures Giveaway.”

The grand prize tiny home will be built by Rich's Portable Cabins of North Powder, Oregon. Their tiny homes have been featured on FYI Channel’s “Tiny House Hunters”, “Tiny House Nation” and HGTV’s “Tiny House, Big Living.”

The runner up prize will be a smaller but no less eco-friendly “tiny cabin” fabricated by Old Hickory Sheds of Ukiah, California and Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Known for producing versatile cabins and playhouses, Old Hickory is an enthusiastic partner for the casino’s two-month-long promotion. A model of one of their cabins will be on display at the casino for the duration of the giveaway.

“Tiny homes and cabins have become woven into the American fabric of sustainable living, and Sherwood Valley Casino wants to be a part of that. We can't think of a better way to promote a low carbon footprint lifestyle and have exciting prizes for our guests at the same time,” said Michael J. Broderick, Sherwood Valley’s general manager.

“We are excited to be working with both Rich’s Portable Cabins and Old Hickory Sheds to make this ‘small’ promotion a ‘big’ reality for our wonderful guests,” Broderick added.

The homes may be little, but Sherwood Valley Casino, Rich's Portable Cabins and Old Hickory builders didn't skimp, as one lucky customer could walk away with a new 312 square foot tiny home of their very own, and another with a 288 square foot open space cabin.

Anyone could be the winner of these tiny homes. To enter for a chance to win the big prizes, guests must earn 100 points with their Player’s Club card and have won one of the weekly qualifier drawings.

Guests will have a chance to win $100 in free play and a “THT” or “tiny home ticket” entry into the grand prize drawing by participating in Sherwood Valley Casino’s weekly “$50,000 Tiny Home Treasures Giveaway” drawings. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Jan. 26 from 5 to 10 p.m. one winner will be drawn every half hour to receive $100 in free slot play and a special entry for the tiny home grand prize finale.

Then on Jan. 26 at 10 p.m. the winners of both the grand prize tiny home and the second place tiny cabin will be drawn from the “THTs” accumulated during the two month long promotion. You must be present to win.
