NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
Caltrans District 1 will suspend most work on Northern California highways Saturday, Dec. 29, through Tuesday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year’s Day.
However, in the case of unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary for Caltrans maintenance forces to respond to emergency situations.
LAKE COUNTY
Highway 20
– Fire damage repair work from Witter Springs Road to Mendocino County Line will conclude on Friday, Dec. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays.
Highway 29
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment for tree work at Diener Drive on Thursday, Jan. 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
Highway 175
– Fire damage repair work near Mathews Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Lake County Sanitation has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for sewer work from Socrates Mine Road to Dry Creek Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 1
– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 20
– Pavement work from Access Road to Road 260 will begin on Friday, Dec. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 101
– Drainage work at Route 253 on Friday, Dec. 28. Lane closures will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Pavement work from Steele & Davidson Lane to Bell Springs Road & Road 324 will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 175
– Emergency work at Lake County Line will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours a day. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 253
– AT & T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Singley Cattlepass on Friday, Dec. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 271
– Bridge work at McCoy Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
