President Kathey Crothers describes the club’s Gala as, “The best and most popular event on our calendar.”
Crothers has been the organization’s fundraising chair for several years before accepting the role as president.
She added, “Our club of dedicated volunteers makes this event bigger and better every year and the results are truly amazing.”
The funds received supports “service above self” projects that empower youth, benefit our communities and support worthy international projects.
The club’s fundraising efforts have provided dictionaries and friendship benches to elementary schools, funding for High School scholarship programs and assistance to fire survivors.
On an international level, the Rotary Club of Middletown actively supports the “end polio” campaign.
A portion of this years Small Town Big Heart gala will go to Paradise Rotary Fire Relief Fund to support the community recently devastated by the November 2018 Camp fire.
“With your help, Rotary volunteers can continue to provide services and support for the young and old, for community projects, fire recovery efforts and so much more,” said Crothers.
