Lake County Democratic Party hosts homeless advocate Feb. 13

LOWER LAKE, Calif. – The Program Committee of the Lake County Democratic Party will host Joyce Adams on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 6:30 p.m. in Lower Lake.

Adams is an advocate for the homeless community here in Lake County. She is administrator for Cornerstone Villages, a nonprofit organization under North Coast Opportunities. They work toward creating small, inexpensive, transitional housing units in a village format.

Adams is a member of the Continuum of Care of Lake County, a participant in the city of Clearlake's ad hoc committee on homelessness and an appointee on the newly formed city coalition.

She also serves on the interfaith committee at Hope Center and, for the past three years, has taken part in point-in-time counts of our local homeless community.

The Program Committee of the Lake County Democratic Party meets every second Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Social Hall of the United Methodist Church, 16255 Second St., Lower Lake. All meetings are open to the public.

Associate membership in the Lake County Democratic Central Committee is open to registered Democrats and dues are $25 annually.
