Library celebrates National Craft Month in March

LAKEPORT, Calif. – National Craft Month, held in March, is a great time to learn new skills or share what you already know, a time to meet other crafters.

The Lake County Library celebrates National Craft Month at all of its free craft clubs.

“Share, learn, create” is the motto of the library’s craft club community. All library clubs and classes are free and open to the public, ages 12 and up.

Lakeport Library at 1425 N. High St. is home to four craft clubs.

Cookbook Club tests and discusses new recipes each month. The club will meet next on March 21 at noon.

Fabric Club welcomes quilting, sewing, embroidery and all other fabric-related crafts on first Saturdays at 10 a.m.

The Yarn Wizards Club works in all knitting, crocheting and other yarn crafts on second Saturdays at 10 a.m.

Creative Club shares all sorts of other crafts and uses lessons from the Creativebug video library. Creative Club will meet on March 23 at 10 a.m.

Upper Lake Library’s Yarn Club meets on second Tuesdays at 2 p.m. to share all yard crafts. The library is located at 310 Second St.

The Knitting Around Club gathers at Redbud Library 14785 Burns Valley Road in Clearlake every Saturday at 2 p.m.
