First 5 Lake Commission meets March 13

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The First 5 Lake Commission will hold a regular meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13.

The commission will meet in the Kesey Room at the Lake County Office of Education, 1152 S. Main St.

Items on the agenda include introductions and Children’s Champion Nominations, approval of the Feb. 13 meeting minutes and the January financial reports.

There also will be a public hearing for the California First 5 Commission’s 2017-18 annual report.

Other business planned for the meeting include the executive director’s report and discussion, the approval of the Ad Hoc Committee’s Recommendation for 2019-2022 Grant RFP selections, approval to reschedule the June and September commission meetings so Executive Director Carla Ritz can attend a leadership cohort training, commissioners’ reports, and public comment and announcements.

The commission’s membership includes Chair Brock Falkenberg and Vice Chair Carly Swatosh, and commissioners Denise Pomeroy, Crystal Markytan, Tina Scott, Pam Klier, Susan Jen, Allison Panella and Derrick J. Barnes, M.D.
