Police issue traffic advisory for March 28 Agriculture and Natural Resources Day

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Community members are urged to be particularly cautious when driving near the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport on Thursday due to the annual Agriculture and Natural Resources Day.

The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

The Lakeport Police Department said heavy traffic is expected around the fairgrounds as more than 1,200 students and other people begin arriving for the Agriculture and Natural Resources Day.

Traffic is expected to be heavy throughout the event, police said.

Event staff have a parking plan and will be available to guide vehicles to parking and unloading zones on fairgrounds property. However, onsite parking may be limited.

Please use caution in this area and watch for school buses, private vehicles and pedestrians.
