First 5 Lake and First 5 Mendocino now accepting CPA qualifications

LAKEPORT, Calif. – For 20 years, First 5 Lake and First 5 Mendocino have funded valuable community services benefiting young children and their families in using funds derived from California Proposition 10’s voter-mandated tax on tobacco products.

Both commissions are now seeking an independent certified public accountant, or CPA, to conduct the annual audit of each commission’s financial records, polices and procedures, as well as to undertake a review of and comment on each commission’s state required programmatic and administrative policies.

Instructions for those interested in applying and the full request for qualifications, or RFQ, packet can be found at www.firstfivelake.org.

The deadline to submit qualifications is May 21 at noon.

If you have questions or would like further information, please contact the First 5 Lake office at 707-263-6169.
