Caltrans plans major roadwork through May 9

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Drainage work from Blue Lakes Road to Howard Street will begin Sunday, May 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Le Trianon Resort to Bruner Drive will continue through Tuesday, May 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights overnight Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work on the westbound shoulder west of Gladys Street from Monday, May 6, to Tuesday, May 7, in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Utility work between Catholic Church Road to Long Valley Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Utility work between B Street and Seigler Canyon Road will occur on Friday, May 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Cole Creek Road to the Lucerne Undercrossing will begin on Sunday, May 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights overnight. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Road work from Putah Creek to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work north of Fish Rock Road on Friday, May 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Slide removal south of Navarro River Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work between Hazel Street and Maple Avenue on Saturday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work between Hazel Street and Fir Avenue on Tuesday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Emergency work 2-miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Hollands Lane to Walker Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work near the 253 intersection will occur on Friday, May 3. The northbound offramp will be fully closed 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should use an alternate route.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Shoulder work will occur north of Scandia along the southbound lane beginning Friday, May 3, through Wednesday, May 8, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Shoulder work north of Piercy will occur on Friday, May 3 and will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 128

– Emergency work from Route 1 to Flynn Creek Road will continue through Friday, May 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 162

– Shoulder work west of South Fork Eel River Bridge will occur on Friday, May 3, through Wednesday, May 8, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 175

– Emergency work near the southern 29 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Emergency work from Boonville to Singley Cattlepass will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
