MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – The Middletown Luncheon Club will host a presentation on Wednesday, May 15, about the work of the Lake County Land Trust.

There are so many wonderful people in Lake County who are quietly working on important projects to make our county a better place.

It's fascinating to learn about them and to appreciate the work they do. The folks working with the Lake County Land Trust are some of these special people.

Melissa Kinsel is the outreach coordinator of the Lake County Land Trust and she will tell the group what it is, what it does, and why it's important to us now and in the future.

She'll share what lands are currently under its protection, including their latest project, the Wright Property, and we'll learn of the partnerships that LCLT fosters.

Lunch will be served by the Fire Sirens at noon at the Middletown Senior Center, 21256 Washington St. The program will end promptly at 1 p.m.

For only $5 per person, enjoy a meal of cabbage rolls, whole wheat roll and watermelon. You may also just come and listen to the speaker for free. Everyone is welcome.

Reservations are required. Please call 707-987-3113 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
