CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Hope Rising Lake County is hosting the third annual Innovation Summit Lake County 2019 on Friday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cornelison Event Center at Konocti Education Center in Clearlake.

This free, informative summit will explore innovative solutions and effective partnerships to support the citizens of Lake County.

The summit will connect leaders from local healthcare, nonprofit organizations, education and government agencies in a day of focused presentations and meaningful discussions intended to inspire hope, create pathways for transformation, and generate momentum for the work ahead in Lake County.

This year the summit offers three keynote speakers. Shelly Trumbo, community integration executive for Adventist Health will present a talk on the diseases of despair.

Rev. Shannon Kimbell-Auth, manager of community integration for Adventist Health Clear Lake Medical Center, will share the work and success of Restoration House.

Amber N. Warner, licensed clinical social worker, MSW, co-author of “Building Resilience” will share strategies for resilience in the work of serving our vulnerable populations.

Key objectives of the event include gaining inspiration and resiliency, reconnecting to purpose, breaking down silos and barriers in our work, and discovering new and innovative ways to serve our most vulnerable populations.

Workshops are schedules between speakers to maximize effective collaboration and vision forecasting.

Front line staff including education, local clinicians, providers of mental health and substance abuse treatment facilities, community-based organizations serving vulnerable populations, housing agencies, homeless advocates, community and government agency personnel, law enforcement personnel, faith community representatives, community action groups and community members are invited to attend.

The summit kicks off at 8:30 a.m.
