LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Hospice Services of Lake County is seeking volunteers for its thrift stores.

The organization operates thrift stores located in Lakeport, Clearlake and Middletown.

Hospice said it currently is in need of volunteers for all shifts, Monday through Saturday, in the Middletown and Clearlake stores.

Thrift store revenue supports the Wings of Hope Bereavement program serving children and families with camps and school-based grief counseling for children and youth all around Lake County.

“Volunteers are essential in the operation of our thrift stores,” states Retail Sales Director Chris Martin.

Volunteers fill a variety of roles in the store such as sorting and organizing merchandise, staging displays, cashiering and assisting customers.

Training is provided, and stores are a fun and supportive environment for individuals interested in giving back to their community.

This is a great opportunity for students wanting to build their resume, fulfill community service hours or completing senior projects.
