NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
Caltrans will suspend most work on Northern California highways from Friday, Aug. 30, through Monday, Sept. 2, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
However, in the case of unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary for Caltrans Maintenance forces to respond to emergency situations.
LAKE COUNTY
Highway 20
– Striping operation from the Mendocino County Line to New Long Valley Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists can anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Utility work from Catholic Church Road to Long Valley Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Striping operation from North Fork Cache Creek to the Colusa County Line will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists can anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 29
– Pavement marker replacement from Clayton Creek Road to the Lakeport Blvd. Overcrossing will continue from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists can anticipate minor delays.
– Striping operation from Route 53 North Lower Lake to Martin Street Undercrossing will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists can anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Striping operation from Siegler Canyon Road to Kelseyville Auto Sales will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists can anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Striping operation from Lucerne Undercrossing to Private Road will begin on Thursday, September 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 53
– Striping operation from Junction 53 to Junctions 20 and 29 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists can anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 175
– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work on Adams Springs Road on Tuesday, Sept. 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists can anticipate five-minute delays.
– Utility work from Putah Creek to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 1
– Drainage work south of Iverson Avenue, Point Arena will continue. 24-hour one-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– David Hillmer has been granted an encroachment permit for paving on Wednesday, Sept. 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists can anticipate five-minute delays.
– Bridge work from Alder Creek Beach to Alder Creek will continue. 24-hour one-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Core drilling at Salmon Creek Bridge will continue. One-way intermittent traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.
– Bridge work from Pacific Reefs Road to Salmon Creek will continue. 24-hour one-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorist should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 20
– Striping operation from Wildwood Campground to Cold Creek Bridge beginning Thursday, Sept. 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists can anticipate five-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted an encroachment for utility work east of Parlin Fork Camp Road on Wednesday, Sept. 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists can anticipate five-minute delays.
– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Striping operation from Main Street/Redwood 101, Fort Bragg to Private Road beginning Thursday, Aug. 29. Motorists can anticipate minor delays.
Highway 101
– Emergency roadwork from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Guardrail and paving work from Ramsey Road to Rattlesnake Summit will continue. 24-hour one-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work from Bell Springs/Road 324 to north of Rattlesnake Creek on Wednesday, Sept. 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists can anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Shoulder work on the Piercy on-ramp will continue. Motorists can anticipate minor delays.
Highway 162
– Electrical work at South Eel River Bridge will begin Tuesday, Sept. 3, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists can anticipate minor delays.
– Electrical work north of Rodeo Creek Bridge will begin Tuesday, Sept. 3, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists can anticipate minor delays.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
