MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – Join the Clear Lake Soroptimists on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for its next evening social.
Held every other month by the Soroptimist International of Clear Lake Club, the social will be at R Vineyards Ranch located at 21735 Dry Creek Cutoff in Middletown.
Beverages and appetizers will be served.
Anyone interested in learning how the club supports Lake County’s women and girls is encouraged to drop in for conversation with Soroptimist members.
There is no charge to attend but guests are encouraged to RSVP by Oct. 23, either by text or voicemail at 916-849-8170.
Two special guests are joining the club for the social.
Jennifer Malinowski, local business owner of the Wholly Bowl in Lakeport and former recipient of the Soroptimist Live Your Dream Award will talk about her business success.
Shirley Crawford, a founding member of Sponsoring Survivorship, will be honored with a cash award from the Club.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Club has a special fund to provide free mammograms to low-income women and annually supports Sponsoring Survivorship for their assistance to women and men battling breast cancer.
Since deciding to host the socials around the lake the Club has met in Kelseyville, Lakeport, Upper Lake and Hidden Valley Lake.
“These socials are an opportunity to interact with like minded individuals who make it a personal priority to help Lake County women and girls achieve their full potential,” said Club President Tina Scott.
