Automatic CalFresh replacement offered

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – CalFresh recipients who have not yet received replacement benefits for the Oct. 9 Pacific Gas and Electric Public Safety Power Shutoff may have 60 percent of their October benefits replaced.

Qualified recipients must have received their benefits on or before Oct. 9 and lived in zip codes 95467, 95451, 95493, 95453, 95443, 95423, 95422; 95457, 95464, 95485, 95458, 95461, 95435 or 95426 on Oct. 1, 2019.

Benefits should be on qualified recipients’ cards on the morning of Thursday, Oct. 24.

CalFresh recipients who have already received replacement benefits will not receive an additional replacement when the automatic replacement occurs.

CalFresh recipients not included in the automatic replacement, who experienced food loss due to the Octo. 9 PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff, and who have not yet requested replacement, have until Nov. 8 to contact Lake County Social Services to request replacement on a case-by-case basis.
