Caltrans plans major roadwork through Oct. 31

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Pavement marker replacement from Blue Lakes Road to Colusa County Line will begin Friday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Drainage work from Lucerne to Lucerne East will begin Tuesday, Oct. 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Lakeshore Boulevard to Clear Lakes Oaks East will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Catholic Church Road to Long Valley Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Paving from Private Road to Route 53 South will begin Sunday, Oct. 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Tree work from Route 53 South to Walker Ridge Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Tree work from the Napa County line to Middletown will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Striping at various locations from the Napa County Line to Junction 20/29 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work will occur from the Lakeport Blvd Overcrossing to the 11th Street Undercrossing will continue. A northbound lane closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Drainage work from the Martin Street Undercrossing to Mockingbird Lane will continue. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

– Bridge work from the Reinking Undercrossing to Hill Road Undercrossing will begin Monday Oct. 28. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Bridge work from the Robinson Rancheria Road to Lucerne Undercrossing will begin Monday Oct. 28. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 53

– Lower Lake High School Homecoming Parade from Route 29 to Jessie Street will occur on Friday, Oct. 25, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Pavement marker replacement from Route 53 to Route 20 will begin Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 175

– Tree work near the northern 29 Junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Tree work from Arroyo Vista Road to Santa Clara Street will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge 14 21 to the Dry Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Drainage work near Point Arena will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Alder Creek Beach to the Alder Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to midnight weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Navarro Bluff Road to the Navarro River Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to midnight weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Pacific Reefs Road to the Spring Grove Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to midnight weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Caspar Lake Road to the Caspar Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights overnight. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C1TA

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Broaddus Creek Bridge 10-107 to the Broaddus Railroad Crossing will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights overnight. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Franklin Avenue to Cold Creek Bridge #5-10-44 will begin Monday, Oct. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Bridge work from the Robinson Overcrossing to the Robinson Creek Bridge will continue. A southbound lane closure will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights overnight. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Bridge work at the East Perkins Street Overcrossing will begin Thursday, Oct. 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work from the Orr Creek Bridge to the Presswood Overhead Bridge will continue. A southbound lane closure will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights overnight. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Bridge work near the Orr Springs Road Overcrossing will continue. A southbound lane closure will be in effect from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights overnight. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Bridge work from the Ackerman Creek Bridge to the Hensley Creek Undercrossing will continue. Lane closures will be in effect in both directions from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights overnight. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Bridge work from the Hensley Creek Undercrossing to the Lake Mendocino Drive Undercrossing will continue. A southbound lane closure will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights overnight. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Bridge work near the West Road Overcrossing will continue. A northbound lane closure will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights overnight. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. A southbound lane closure will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Cleanup work near the Rattlesnake Summit will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work from the CA Division of Forestry to the Jitney Gulch Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 128

– Sign work from Highway 1 junction to Philo will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work from the Highway Maintenance Station to the Mountain View Road will continue from 5 a.m. to midnight weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Big Oaks Drive to the Dry Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency work west of Motorcycle Park Entrance will begin Monday, Oct. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
