KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Sons in Retirements, or SIRs, hosted Ginny Craven of Operation Tango Mike as guest speaker at the club’s November luncheon.

The SIRs members hold their meetings at the Riviera Hills restaurant in Kelseyville.

Craven is founder of Operation Tango Mike and has been actively working on behalf of our troops for more than 17 years.

She pointed out how cookies, cards and letters are great morale boosters and how snacks in individual packages work well for troops on the move.

Craven also explained that letters and drawings from the little ones are wonderful gifts to our troops.

If interested in participating, the Operation Tango Mike packing parties take place at 6 p.m. on the third Thursday at Umpqua Bank, 805 11th St. in Lakeport.
