LAKEPORT, Calif. – A craft and vendor faire will be held at the Sterling Shore community on Saturday.
After successfully organizing the first craft fair by seniors in Sterling Shore Senior Park in North Lakeport, Mary Ann Gregory realized that she had uncovered an unmet need.
Her neighbors had a lifetime of wide-ranging skills and interests to offer the world. These included stained glass artifacts, handmade quilts, soaps and unique ornaments many of which had sold out during the fair.
It was then that the idea of Project Lakecraft struck her.
She had a group of skilled crafters and an obvious demand for their unique products. What was needed was a marketplace to bring them together.
The first of what is planned to be a regular series of fairs under the brand name of “Project Lakecraft” will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sterling
Shore club house (Club 100) at 5830 Robin Hill Drive in North Lakeport.
Take exit 108 (Nice/Lucerne cutoff) off Highway 29 and turn onto Lakeshore Boulevard to Robin Hill Drive on the left and follow the road to the park entrance and down to the club house (Club 100). You are sure to find a unique holiday gift for your friends and family.
