KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The uplifting and refreshing sound of My Divas, the favorite local a capella ensemble, was wonderfully appreciated by the Ladies of the Lakeport Women’s Civic Club on Friday.
The singers and the club members celebrated Christmas together over lunch at the Riviera Country Club Restaurant, where the club holds its general meeting on the first Friday of every month except July and August.
Kim Borjorques, manager of the Lakeport Fire Department Toy Drive, was on hand to receive an impressive lot of toys and miscellaneous items for families, chosen by the local schools, to be thought of at Christmas.
This is as much fun as these ladies have all year, spending the donations provided by the ladies of the club on so many fun things for the children. It’s an outing that they look forward to every holiday season.
Wreaths Across America was also on the group’s list of beneficiaries this month as they do their best to honor and support veterans wherever, whenever they can and the Record-Bee Food Drive is on their radar every month as members contribute food items or cash at each meeting throughout the year.
The Lakeport Women’s Civic Club welcomes new members year round and would love to hear from you.
If you would like an invitation to one of our general meetings, call President Julie Hernaez at 707-279-2625.
The Lakeport Women’s Civic Club wishes each of you the happiest of holidays and peace, health and good fortune in the new year!
