LAKEPORT, Calif. – The U. S. Census Bureau is recruiting people to work as census takers for the 2020 federal census.
Lake County residents interested in applying for the 2020 census operation are invited to attend any of four informational presentations at Lake County Library branches in January.
The Census Bureau’s Lake County recruiter, Jan Brelsford, will talk about how to apply to be a census taker and what the job entails.
Lakeport Library, at 1425 N. High St., will host presentations on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 5:30 p.m.
Redbud Library, at 14785 Burns Valley Rd. in Clearlake, will host presentations on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 10:30 a.m. and on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 10:30 a.m.
People can apply online at www.2020census.gov.jobs. One application is good for the entire 2020 census operation.
