Lakeport Traffic Safety Advisory Committee to meet Jan. 13

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport Traffic Safety Advisory Committee will meet on Monday, Jan. 13.

The committee will meet beginning at 4 p.m. in the council chambers at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St.

Discussion and action items include an update from Lakeport Police Chief Brad Rasmussen and Officer Andrew Welter on new opportunities to use radar for speed enforcement.

The committee also will receive an update on the status of the 11th Street Corridor Feasibility Study, the Hartley ATP/Safe Routes School, the Lake Pedestrian Needs Study and HSIP (striping) Project.

In addition, there will be the annual election of the chair and vice chair, and an update on the city of Lakeport’s capital improvement projects.

Other items on the agenda include approval of the committee’s 2020 meeting calendar and the September meeting minutes, public comment and general traffic items from committee members.
