Workshop sessions will take place at the Redbud Library, 4785 Burns Valley Road.
Each session will have its own theme designed to help participants write about their lives, share stories with family and future generations, and connect with new friends in a relaxed and fun setting.
Participants may attend any or all of the four workshops. The sessions are set for 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on each of the scheduled days.
Session dates and the scheduled topics are:
– Feb. 18: “The Stories Behind Your Photos” – Bring your photos to life with storytelling and preserve those stories for future generations;
– Feb. 25: “Show and Tell for Grownups” – Just like being back in school except without the gerbils! Bring a memorable item, keepsake, or heirloom to share;
– March 3: “Memories Made Around the Table” –Join us in talking about your family traditions around mealtime or conversations that have taken place around the kitchen table;
– March 10: “Legacy Letters” – Preserve life’s lessons, values and beliefs through writing about what truly matters most to you.
Hospice Services employee Laurie Fisher will facilitate the workshops.
“Join us for this delightfully fun, thought-provoking, and important series,” said Fisher. “We think you’ll enjoy the activities we’ve planned to help you reflect on your life, share your wisdom, and pass on your stories so that your precious moments live on. The workshops offer a safe, supportive space where you can share your thoughts freely.”
The number of participant seats will be limited at each session. Registration is recommended. To register for any of the four workshops, contact Laurie Fisher, by calling 707-263-6270, Extension 130, or email
