Caltrans plans major roadwork through Feb. 13

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– WIPF Construction has been granted an encroachment permit for incident cleanup and repairs at the Paradise Cove Subdivision on Tuesday, Feb. 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Tree work from Route 53 South to Walker Ridge Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Tree work from Coyote Creek to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Sign work from North Route 29 to Private Road will begin Monday, February 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Tree work from Arroyo Vista Road to Putah Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work from Crispin Road to Irish Beach Drive beginning Friday, Feb. 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 1

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Litter removal from South Ukiah Overhead to Forsyth Creek Bridge will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work from Red Mountain Creek to Bear Pen Undercrossing on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 162

– Drainage work will occur at Hosea Creek beginning Monday, Feb. 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.
