Caltrans plans major roadwork through March 5

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Tree work from Route 53 South to Walker Ridge Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Tree work from the Napa County Line to Route 175 Northwest Middletown will begin on Monday, March 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work on Central Park Road in Middletown on Wednesday, March 4. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Tree work from Hartmann Road to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Hill Road Undercrossing to Lucerne Undercrossing will take place on Wednesday, March 4. A southbound lane closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 53

– Tree work from 40th Avenue to Route 20 in Clearlake will begin on Friday, Feb. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Tree work from Loch Lomond Road to Putah Creek Bridge will begin on Monday, March 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Guardrail work will occur from Grouss Springs Road to Putah Creek Bridge will continue. Eastbound and westbound lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Tree work from Arroyo Vista Road to Santa Clara Street will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Guardrail work from Curley Lane to Iverson Avenue, Point Arena will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Mowing from Larking Road to Caspar Creek Bridge will take place on Friday, March 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Fence Work from South Ukiah Overhead to Route 222 will take place on Friday, March 6. Northbound lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor slowdowns.

– Fence work from Route 222 to South Ukiah Overhead will begin on Wednesday, March 4. Southbound lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Fence work at the Lake Mendocino Drive Undercrossing will begin on Monday, March 2. Northbound lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.
