Caltrans plans major roadwork through Thursday, April 23

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Striping operation from Blue Lakes Road to Colusa County Line will occur on Friday, April 17. Traffic controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists can anticipate minor delays.

– Tree work from Route 53 South to Walker Ridge Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Guardrail work near the Colusa County Line will begin Monday, April 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Striping operation from Napa County Line to Route 20 will occur on Friday, April 17. Traffic controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists can anticipate minor delays.

– Highway construction from Murphy Springs Road to Seigler Canyon Road will begin on Tuesday, April 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Utility work from Route 281 to Route 175 Southeast will occur on Friday, April 17. One-way traffic controls will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists can anticipate five-minute delays.

– Utility work from Route 281 to Bottle Rock Road will begin on Monday, April 20. One-way traffic controls will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists can anticipate five-minute delays.

– Guardrail work from Highland Springs Road to Seigler Canyon Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Paving work from Route 175 to Lakeport Blvd Overcrossing will occur on Tuesday, April 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Park Way Overcrossing to Lucerne Undercrossing will begin on Monday, April 20. Northbound lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 175

– Tree work east of Mathew Road on Friday, April 17. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Tree work from Arroyo Vista Road to Santa Clara Street will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Utility work from Putah Creek to Dry Creek will begin Friday, April 17. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work south of North Navarro Bluff Road beginning Wednesday, April 22. Northbound and Southbound lane controls will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Road 144 to Cold Creek Bridge will occur on Friday, April 17 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists can anticipate minor delays.

– Mowing from Road 144 to Road A - Road 231 will occur Monday, April 20. Westbound and Eastbound lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 101

– Guardrail work from Comminsky Station Road to Geysers Road will occur on Monday, April 20. Southbound lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Drainage work from Comminsky Station Road to Pieta Creek Bridge will begin Monday, April 20. Northbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Potholing work from York Creek to Forsythe Creek Bridge will begin Tuesday, April 21. Northbound lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists can anticipate minor delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 162

– Shoulder work will occur at Hosea Creek on Friday, April 17. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
