NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.

LAKE COUNTY
Highway 29
– Highway construction from B Street to Spruce Grove Road North will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Highway construction from Seigler Creek Bridge to Seigler Canyon Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Guardrail work from Seigler Canyon Road to Point Lakeview Drive will begin Monday, May 18. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Guardrail work from Diener Drive to Seigler Canyon Road will continue through Friday, May 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Highway Construction from Route 281 to Private Drive will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists can anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Guardrail work from Argonaut Road to Manning Creek Bridge will continue through Friday, May 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Guardrail work from Highland Springs Road to Argonaut Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 175
– Highway construction from North Route 29 to Private Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 1
– McKuin Pipeline has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Alder Creek to South of Irish Beach Drive will begin Monday, May 18. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Sub Sea Cable has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from South of Alder Drive to South of Irish Beach Drive on Friday, May 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 20
– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Guardrail work from Access Road to Road A – Road 231 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 101
– K-rail installation at Geysers Road will continue through Friday, May 15. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists can anticipate minor delays.
– Guardrail work at Pieta Creek Bridge will begin Wednesday, May 20. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.
– Guardrail work from East Side Road to Hopland Overhead Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.
– Road and highway work from Hopland Overhead Bridge to Geysers Road will begin Wednesday, May 20. Southbound lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.
– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Pavement work from north of the entrance to Witra’s Hidden to South of Ten Mile Creek will begin Saturday, May 16. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Grinding operation from South of Big Trails Drive to Long Valley Creek Bridge will continue through Friday, May 15. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.
– Guardrail work from Long Valley Creek Bridge to Old Sherwood Road will continue. Northbound and Southbound lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.
– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 162
– Guardrail work from Bloody Run Creek Bridge to South Eel River Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Guardrail work from Grist Creek Bridge to Eberle Street will begin Monday, May 18. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Guardrail work from Town Creek Bridge to Eberle Street will continue through Friday, May 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Guardrail work at Short Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
