NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.

LAKE COUNTY
Highway 20
– Core drilling east of Blue Lake will begin Monday, June 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Core drilling from West of Beryl Way to East of Garden Court will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 29
– Highway construction from B Street to Spruce Grove Road North will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Highway construction from Seigler Creek Bridge to Seigler Canyon Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Highway Construction from Route 281 to Private Drive will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists can anticipate 15-minute delays.
Highway 175
– Highway construction from North Route 29 to Private Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 1
– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Albion River, Albion on Friday, May 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Guardrail work from Abalobadiah Creek to Pacific Avenue South will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect every day and overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 20
– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Shoulder work West of Broaddus Creek will begin Monday, June 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 101
– K-rail installation at Geysers Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists can anticipate minor delays.
– Pavement work from Hopland Overhead Bridge to Geysers Road will continue. Southbound and Northbound lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.
– Sign installation from Moore Avenue Undercrossing to Lake Mendocino Drive Undercrossing on Wednesday, June 3. Southbound lane closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.
– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Pavement work from north of the entrance to Witra’s Hidden to South of Ten Mile Creek will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Pavement work at the Moss Cove Rest Area, Southbound Route 101. The rest area will be closed Monday, June 1, and Tuesday, June 2.
– Guardrail work from Long Valley Creek Bridge to Old Sherwood Road will continue. Northbound and Southbound lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.
– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 162
– Guardrail work from Bloody Run Creek Bridge to South Eel River Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Guardrail work at Short Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 271
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work north of Sidehill Viaduct. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
