Forest invites comments on proposed communication site

MENDOCINO NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. – The Mendocino National Forest is inviting public comment on an application for a special use permit to install a wireless communication facility consisting of a 55-foot tower, a shelter, generator, and two 500-gallon propane tanks.

The proposed project is located on Big Signal Peak on the Upper Lake Ranger District.

The Forest Service is currently seeking comments from state and local governments, tribes, and other individuals or organizations that may be interested in, or affected by the proposed activity.

In order for comments to be incorporated most effectively, it would be helpful to receive them by Friday, Aug. 14, 2020.
