First 5 Lake Commission to hold virtual meeting Sept. 23

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The First 5 Lake Commission will hold its next meeting online on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

The meeting will begin at 2 p.m.

The meeting will include a timed item at 2:30 p.m. to discuss early intervention screening and services in Lake County for children with suspected developmental delays and/or disabilities. The conversation will center around the recent release from the First 5 Center for Children's Policy on this complicated system and how those complexities play out locally for children and families.

The commission also will consider approving the First 5 Lake Policy and Procedure Manual, and the 2020-21 Title IV-E grant contract with Chabot-Las Positas Community College District for $100,000.

There also will be commissioners’ reports, the executive director’s report, public comment and announcements.

There is currently one at-large vacancy on the First 5 Lake Commission, a two-year commitment.
