LAKEPORT, Calif. – As part of its work to complete the official canvass and certify the results of the general election locally, the Lake County Registrar of Voters Office will hold a public manual tally of a portion of precincts on Tuesday, Nov. 17.

The count will take place beginning at 9 a.m. at the elections office, located in Room 209 on the second floor of the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St., Lakeport.

The registrar will conduct a manual tally of a minimum of 1 percent of randomly selected precincts which will include each contest voted on at the Nov. 3 General Election.

The selection of the precinct – or precincts – to be included in the manual tally will be randomly chosen on the same date prior to the manual tally.

Observers are invited to view the manual tally of the ballots, but shall not interfere with the election process.
