While it is a wonderful time of year, the holidays can be challenging for some.
Hope Rising strives to create a better Lake County for all of our neighbors and friends, even if only in a small way.
Hope Rising and its coalition of partners have decided to come together and launch a holiday giving drive for these two facilities providing transitional housing and other services in the community.
On the wish list are bus passes, hoodies (XXL and XXXL), socks and gloves, clothing store gift cards, holiday DVDs, mystery and western novels, ventilated masks, chess and cribbage games, card games, holiday treats, sweat pants and reading glasses.
The Saw Shop Public House and District 4 Supervisor Tina Scott have committed to providing dinner and dessert.
Konocti Christian Academy in Lakeport is also joining in and is collecting gifts school-wide.
If you would like to participate in the drive, please contact the Hope Rising team at
If you would like to donate, you can do so at www.hoperisinglc.org; no donation or gift is too small.
