Caltrans plans major roadwork through March 25

NORTH‌ ‌COAST,‌ ‌Calif.‌ ‌–‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌reports‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌following‌ ‌road‌ ‌projects‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌taking‌ ‌place‌ ‌around‌ ‌the‌ ‌North‌ ‌Coast‌ ‌during‌ ‌the‌ ‌coming‌ ‌week.‌ ‌

Included‌ ‌are‌ ‌Mendocino‌ ‌County‌ ‌projects‌ ‌that‌ ‌may‌ ‌impact‌ ‌Lake‌ ‌County‌ ‌commuters.‌ ‌

Caltrans‌ ‌advises‌ ‌motorists‌ ‌to‌ ‌drive‌ ‌with‌ ‌caution‌ ‌when‌ ‌approaching‌ ‌work‌ ‌areas‌ ‌and‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌prepared‌ ‌to‌ ‌stop‌ ‌at‌ ‌traffic‌ ‌control‌ ‌stations.‌ ‌

The‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌Traffic‌ ‌Operations‌ ‌Office‌ ‌has‌ ‌reviewed‌ ‌each‌ ‌project‌ ‌and‌ ‌determined‌ ‌that‌ ‌individual‌ ‌project‌ ‌delays‌ ‌are‌ ‌expected‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌less‌ ‌than‌ ‌the‌ ‌statewide‌ ‌policy‌ ‌maximum‌ ‌of‌ ‌30‌ ‌minutes‌ ‌unless‌ ‌noted‌ ‌otherwise.‌ ‌ ‌

LAKE‌ ‌COUNTY‌ ‌

Highway‌ ‌20

– Tree work north of Saratoga Spring Road to 0.53 miles south of Private Drive will begin on Monday, March 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway‌ ‌29

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Bradford Creek to Hilderbrand Drive on Tuesday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Hill Avenue to Wardlaw Street will continue Friday, March 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Sign work from Route 175 Northwest Middletown to Butts Canyon – Saint Helena will continue Friday, March 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Sign work at Spruce Grove Road North will continue Friday, March 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Route 281 to Private Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight weekdays from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Sunrise Vista Resort to Salmina Resort on Wednesday, March 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Road 8067 to Road 8068 on Monday, March 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Utility work from Main Street to Mill Street in Point Arena will occur on Friday, March 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Sign work from Ten Mile River to Route 271 will continue Friday, March 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from 1 mile south of Blue Slide Gulch to Blue Slide Gulch will occur on Monday, March 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Sign work from Long Valley Creek 10 99 to Broaddus Creek Bridge will occur on Monday, March 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Sign work from Broaddus Railroad Crossing to Broaddus Creek Bridge will begin on Tuesday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Incident cleanup and repairs at Central Avenue Overcrossing will begin on Monday, March 22. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work from Road 310B to Shimmins-Long Valley Creek 10 99 will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Moss Cove Safety Rest Area will be closed through fall 2021.

– Emergency work from Long Valley Creek 10 98 to north of Laytonville will begin on Monday, March 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Road 307 to Bell Springs & Road 324 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Empire Camp Safety Rest Area will be closed through fall 2021.

Highway 128

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from .33 miles west of Big Oaks Drive to the Yorkville Post Office will begin on Wednesday, March 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 253

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Singley Cattlepass on Monday, March 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
