LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — The Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild is finally able to offer a series of lessons designed for those who “want to learn to quilt” — beginners only, for adult students.

Classes start on Jan. 11, and run for six weeks, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays.

Students must bring their own machine (in clean working order) and must be thoroughly familiar with its operation.

The teacher is Kerrie Hershey.

Though there is no fee for the classes — Hershey is donating her time and expertise — there is a required kit fee.

Preregistration is required.

To sign up and receive additional information, call Hershey at 707-263-3343.
