Junior Giants looking for more sign-ups for summer league

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Did you know that there are Junior Giants baseball and softball leagues in Clearlake and Kelseyville?

Junior Giants is a flagship program put on by the Giants Community Fund, a nonprofit affiliated with the San Francisco Giants.

Junior Giants has been offering free, noncompetitive, coed baseball leagues for over 25 years (and recently Added softball), and they serve 30,000 players in 87 leagues and 70 schools across Northern and Central California, Oregon and Nevada.

The Lake County teams are still looking for more players before the season starts on Monday, June 12, with practices and games starting mid-June.

Beyond getting kids outside to exercise and meet others in their community, the Junior Giants program also teaches character development with tips on health, education and bullying prevention.
