Caltrans plans major roadwork through Aug. 7

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 29

Route 29 (25.1) – Utility work will occur west of Lower Lake near Diener Drive on Thursday, August 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P29BA

Route 29 (40.1/42) – Road work in Lakeport from Jct Route 175 to the Martin Street Undercrossing 14-69 will occur on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 5-6. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. with minor slowdowns. Rotating onramp and offramp full closures will also be in effect and motorists should use an alternate route. LC#C29NA

Highway 175

Route 175 (.1/7.8) – Paving work from the Lake County Line to east of Dixon Drive will begin on Monday, August 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C175EA

Highway 1

Route 1 (.5/.6) – Culvert work in Gualala from Center Street to Old State Highway will begin on Wednesday, August 6. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C1GA

Highway 101

U.S. 101 (19.6/21.5) – Paving work south of Ukiah from the El Roble Overcrossing 10-76 to the Route 253/101 Separation 10-186 will begin on Monday, August 4. Highway 36

Route 36 (4.4/6.1) – ​ Construction upgrades near Carlotta are scheduled to continue. Expect 15-minute delays weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. LC#C36IA

Route 36 (15.7/16.3) – Slide response west of Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park will continue. Delays of up to 2 hours are possible weekdays. Check "Caltrans District 1" social media and QuickMap for the latest information. LC#T36HA

Route 36 (19.6) – Emergency work west of Maple Grove will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C36JA

Route 36 (27.0/30.3) – Pavement work between the eastbound turnout at Postmile 27 and McClellan Mountain Road is scheduled weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Expect one-way traffic control and up to 15-minute delays. LC#C36BA

Highway 96

Route 96 (0.8/3.2) – Utility work will take place from the Trinity Valley Elementary School to the Pipeline Overcrossing on weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect each day with possible 10-minute delays. LC#C96BA

Route 96 (4.7/13.7) – Striping and pavement work will continue between the turnout at Postmile 4.65 and Hoopa Valley Transfer Station, weekdays, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Expect up to 15-minute delays. LC#C96DA

Highway 101 

U.S. 101 (8.8/18.1) – Overnight striping operations are scheduled from East Branch South Fork Eel River Bridge 4-39 to South Fork Eel River Bridge 4-65. Lane and ramp closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. Expect slowdowns and using alternate ramps. LC#C101JA

Highway 299

Route 299 (24.9/25.9) – Emergency work is scheduled east of Chezem Road, weekdays 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. One-way traffic control, expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C299GA
