100 Bucks Strong supports important community causes

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Founded on the spirit of generosity and camaraderie, 100 Bucks Strong unites community-minded men with a simple mission: amplify the impact of local giving.

The group embraces an innovative approach — making philanthropy both accessible and social — by gathering and pooling their resources to drive meaningful change in Lake County.

Through mutual support and shared purpose, members transform small individual contributions into significant collective action, ensuring that every dollar stays close to home and supports causes that matter most to the community.

What sets 100 Bucks Strong apart is its focus on simplicity and transparency. The process is straightforward: members engage in direct conversations with the people behind the causes and see the immediate impact of their contributions.

Each gathering is an opportunity not just to donate, but to connect — building friendships while learning how their pooled generosity can spark real progress.

The group’s gatherings, known as “Roundups,” have become anticipated events in the community, part celebration, part call to action and guys bonding over dinner, drinks and games.

Each March, June, September and November, over 100 Bucks (Lake County residents) gather for a Roundup at a different venue. The buy-in is $100 per person per Roundup, four times a year.

Three nonprofits are randomly selected ahead of time to give a five-minute presentation on their mission and how a donation from the 100 Bucks Strong Lake County would benefit their cause, followed by five minutes of Q&A.

Bucks will then vote to determine which of the three organizations will receive the collective donation.

At past Roundups, after voting and donation awarded, the Bucks have enjoyed whiskey or beer tastings, cornhole competition, or a trivia night.

For those who go to our website to sign up, the next 100 Bucks Roundup will be on Thursday, Sept. 11, at Tom Lincoln’s house, with food available for purchase from Biasotti’s BBQ.
