CLEARLAKE, Calif. — For Clearlake residents living in the 2026 Robin Lane Sewer Spill area, Social Services may have programs to help temporarily pay for a hotel and/or repair your home.
You may be eligible if you are:
• aged 60+,
• a disabled dependent adult,
• an adult getting IHSS, or
• a family getting CalWORKs Cash Aid.
Social Services is actively reviewing our case records and attempting to contact In-Home Supportive Services, or IHSS, and CalWORKs recipients who live in the impacted area. Calls to seven identified IHSS recipients were made Wednesday. Calls to CalWORKs recipients started Thursday.
Don’t wait for Social Services to call you. Contact them now if you want to find out if they can help.
If you or a household member is aged 60+, a disabled dependent adult, or an adult getting IHSS, please call 707-995-4244 and tell them you need help with the HOME SAFE program.
If you or a household member gets CalWORKs Cash Aid, please contact your caseworker directly, or call our main line at 707-995-4200 and ask about the Family Stabilization Program and Housing Support Program.
Every household in the impacted area that contains someone aged 60 or older, a disabled dependent adult or an adult getting IHSS is urged to request HOME SAFE. There are no income or property limits.
HOME SAFE may pay for repairs to make your home safe, it doesn’t require you to leave your home and stay in a hotel if you don’t want to. If eligible, HOME SAFE pays hotels and repair companies directly. You have earned this service, your tax dollars have paid for it, and the money spent helps to boost our local economy – it doesn’t just help you.
