Valentine See's Candies sales benefit community needs

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Delta Iota Tau, Lakeport chapter of Beta Sigma Phi originated in 1954.  

The group exists to serve our Lake County communities, said chapter President Dana Kearney.

For over three decades, Northlake Medical Pharmacy on Lakeport Boulevard has donated space throughout the year for the chapter’s See's Candies sales. Bruno’s Shop Smart has also donated space for over 30 years to help the fundraising efforts.  

Delta Iota Tau is very grateful and appreciative of these locally owned businesses for their assistance.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, through Saturday, Feb. 14, Bruno’s customers may purchase their Valentine See's Candies at the Delta Iota Tau table until they run out.

Delta Iota Tau’s 2025 community donations of $18,040, which represent the profits from their fundraising efforts, went to the following organizations and causes:

• Senior high school scholarships; 
• Lady Luck Garage – Kelseyville School Program;
• Kelseyville High School Music Programs;      
• Clearlake High School Music Program; 
• Every 15 Minutes Program; 
• Hospice – Wings of Hope; 
• Operation Tango Mike; 
• Sponsoring Survivorship; 
• We Serve Veterans – Lake County; 
• Wreaths Across America; 
• Soper Reese Theatre; 
• Knights of Columbus – Senior Gifts; 
• National Child and Senior Safety Council; 
• Open Arms, coats for the needy. 

Everyone who purchases their Valentines See's Candies through Northlake Medical Pharmacy and Bruno’s Shop Smart will donate to a long variety of entities like those listed above.
